Indian massage is a type of bodywork therapy that originated in India. It is based on Ayurveda (the traditional medicine system of ancient India) and uses oils, herbs, and various techniques to relieve muscle tension and promote relaxation.
The goal of Indian massage is to improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, thereby promoting healing and relieving pain. It works best if done regularly over time, rather than just once.
Indian massage helps reduce stress and anxiety, promotes deep breathing, and increases flexibility. It's also good for people who have chronic pain or arthritis.
Acupressure is a technique that utilizes the fingers to apply pressure to certain points on the body. It has been used for over 2,000 years as a natural therapy to relieve pain, reduce stress, and promote good health.
Acupressure is the stimulation of points on the body by hand or with the use of an acupressure massage tool. Acupressure therapy was prevalent in India and then spread to China. The earliest mention of acupressure therapy dates back to 500 BC, during the time when Buddhism was spreading from India to China. The Chinese Buddhists interpreted Buddhist teachings as advocating self-healing through physical contact and pressure, which led them to develop acupressure techniques for healing purposes.
Reflexology is an alternative medicine that focuses on the feet. It is a holistic therapy, which means it treats the feet as a map of the body. Reflexologists believe that there are reflex points on the feet and hands, which correspond to all parts of the body. Reflexology has been found to be effective in treating many health conditions, including anxiety, depression and high blood pressure. It has the least amount of scientific evidance for its effectiveness but people who have reflexology sessions regularly usually feel better after and feel as it promotes relaxation and reduces stress levels. Even though it might be just pseudo science at the moment, many people find their health issues are taken care of by getting reflexology therapy.
